WATERING HOLES...........
Joe was very familiar with a good few of Soho's more or less salubrious watering holes such as the Coach & Horses in Greek Street, near Cambridge Circus.
The Groucho Club at 44 Dean Street, often described as " a private members' club" , rather than a pub was a venue attended by Joe and his friends........
The Oporto pub in Shaftesbury Avenue.
" A place had been booked near Wardour Street for the press launch.... with the Ship pub nearby."
